Spider-Man: No Way Home was one of the most-anticipated movies of the year ahead of its global release and it is safe to say that the movie has lived up to its expectations. The movie is now set to cross $1 Billion in global box office collections today, on Christmas day.

Sony officially announced the box office numbers of No Way Home after a whole week in theatres around the world. The movie has a total box office haul of $876.0 million heading into Christmas Eve and Sony reports that the movie will pass the $1 Billion mark on Christmas day.

This will make the MCU movie the second-fastest movie to cross the 1 Billion mark, only behind another big MCU movie, Avengers: Endgame. While it takes No Way Home 11 days to reach the milestone, Endgame did it in five days.

The reports about dominant box office performance from the movie were out ever since its release and even posted the second-biggest opening weekend of all time, passing Avengers: Infinity War.

The third Spider-Man movie in the MCU also surpassed the total collections of other Marvel movies that were released this year, such as Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and Eternals within days.

When the movie does cross the mark, it will make No Way Home the 49th movie to collect $1 Billion and the 10th Marvel movie. It will be the first movie to do so since Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in December 2019.
