Sukumar and team launch the much-awaited Pushpa 2, Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna give event a miss

Makers of Pushpa had announced yesterday that the movie's much-awaited sequel will be launched today, leaving fans of Allu Arjun excited. They have been anticipating an update on Pushpa 2 aka Pushpa: The Rule for a long time. The launch ceremony of the most-expected sequel in the country was held today morning, and a few crew members were present.

The photos and videos from the event have been doing the rounds on social media. Sukumar was all smiles at the event while the film's lead actors didn't turn up for the function.

Apart from Allu Arjun, the likes of Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Sunil, Dhananjaya and Anasuya Bhardwaj among others, who were seen in the first part, will be playing important roles in the second installment as well. It looks like the team has roped in the same technicians for the second part as well.

Pushpa, which was a huge hit across the country, collected more than 350 crores at the box office, with 100 plus crores grossing from the Hindi version alone. The screen presence of Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna and Samantha, apart from Devi Sri Prasad's songs, were highlights of the film which was released in December 2021.

Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers will be bankrolling the sequel which has cinematography by Miresłow Kuba Brożek and lyrics penned by Chandra Bose. S Ramakrishna and Monica Nigotre are jointly helming production design for the project.

Fans are curious to know when Pushpa 2 will go on floors. The movie is expected to release in theatres in 2023. Director Sukumar will join hands with Vijay Deverakonda for a movie after he wraps up Pushpa 2.
