It looks like Suriya is working simultaneously for Bala directorial Suriya 41 and Vetri Maaran's Vaadi Vaasal. The former was launched officially in Kanyakumari and the team posted a few working stills from the location on social media. The actor's 2D Entertainment is producing the movie which has Krithi Shetty playing the female lead.

On the other hand, the latter's mock shooting was held in the outskirts of Chennai a few weeks ago. It was attended by actor Soori and actor-politician Karunas who is the assistant director of the movie. The other cast and crew of the project produced by Kalaippuli S Thanu is yet to be announced. Interestingly, GV Prakash is the music composer for both the films.

Today, on Tamil New Year day, Suriya surprised his fans by wishing in a unique manner. He posted a short video from his Twitter page in which he is seen walking towards the camera along with a bull. Clad in a shorts and a sleeveless vest, the actor is seen pleasantly smiling as he wishes his fans.

His fans and other film buffs are looking forward to knowing which among his two forthcoming projects would make it to theatres first. They hope that at least one of them will be released this year in theatres.

While Suriya 41 marks the third collaboration between the actor and Bala, Vaadi Vaasal brings together the actor and Vetri Maaran for the first time. His last outing Etharkkum Thunindhavan (streaming on Netflix) turned out to be an average grosser at the box office.

It's been a while since he has delivered a huge hit at the box office. His OTT releases Jai Bhim and Soorarai Pottru earned praises from critics and viewers alike.
