Suriya, the National Award-winning actor and one of the popular stars in the Tamil film industry is celebrating his birthday today. Wishes from celebs and other personalities are flowing from every side. Now legendary actors and Malayalam superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal, have wished Suriya on his special day.
Mammootty has shared a photo taken with Suriya in the set of Kaathal: The Core, in which Jyothika plays the female lead. Mammootty also wished the birthday boy a prosperous year ahead.
Mohanlal, who acted alongside Suriya in Kaappaan, greeted the actor through his Twitter handle, which said, “Sending you so much love on your birthday, dear Suriya. May your day and the year ahead be as amazing as you are.”
Other celebs like Vikram Prabhu, Karthik Subbaraj, Venkat Prabhu, and GV Prakash Kumar also wished the actor, a happy birthday.
The glimpse of Kanguva, which was released as part of the actor’s birthday is viral on social media, in which Suriya essays a warrior. The teaser shows a battlefield, to which Suriya is introduced and praised as a formidable brave hero. Running through the forest, he dons an animal mask and a necklace of tiger claws. As the enemies close in, Suriya unveils his mask, and a rain of arrows is shot from behind his back. Suriya himself shared the glimpse of Kanguva, generating intense excitement among his fans.
Kanguva, helmed by Siva has Disha Patani essaying the female lead. Vetri Palanisamy lenses the camera and Nishadh Yusuf, known for his work in Thallumaala handles the editing. Backed by UV Creations and Studio Green, the film is made in 3D and will be released in 10 languages.
Meanwhile, Suriya has movies like Vaadivaasal and the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru in the pipeline. The actor is rumored to join hands with the Soorarai Pottru team once again. Also, there are chances of Suriya essaying a role in the big-budget Kalki 2898 AD.
