A while ago, there was news about four Tamil filmmakers - Venkat Prabhu, Pa Ranjith, Chimbu Devan and Rajesh - teaming up for an anthology. It was heard that the project titled Victim is likely to have a direct release on Disney+ Hotstar. However, there hasn't been any update on the anthology till recently.

Now, it is heard that SonyLIV has bagged the streaming rights of the project which has been jointly bankrolled by Dilli Babu's Axess Film Factory and Venkat Prabhu's Black Ticket Production. The details of actors and other technicians in the four-film anthology will be announced soon.

Interestingly, Kasada Tabara, which had Chimbu Devan and Venkat Prabhu joining hands as director and producer respectively, had a direct release on SonyLIV last year. The latter, who last directed Maanaadu (streaming on SonyLIV), has Manmadha Leelai getting ready for release on April 1.

Pa Ranjith, who last made Arya-starrer Sarpatta Parambarai (streaming on Amazon Prime Video), is busy with the pre-production works of his upcoming movie with Vikram, an announcement of which was made sometime ago. His Natchathiram Nagargirathu, featuring Kalidas Jayaram and Dushara Vijayan in lead roles, is expected to release later this year.

On the other hand, Rajesh, who last helmed Mr Local (streaming on MX Player and Jio Cinema), is currently directing a series starring Hansika in the lead. The untitled project will have a direct release on Disney+ Hotstar. He was in talks with Santhanam and Jiiva for a project each with them, but we hear they are yet to materialize.

Sivakarthikeyan, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Anirudh and Gautham Menon were a few from Kollywood who teased movie lovers with updates on Victim in 2020, but there wasn't much news about the progress of the project later because of reasons best known to makers.
