Tamil releases galore on Zee5; the OTT platform announces a slew of upcoming projects

Zee5 has surprised movie buffs by announcing 10 web series which are set to release on the digital platform soon. The exciting news was revealed at the event Oru Awesome Thodakkam which was organized by the OTT platform. The event witnessed participation from many notable actors and filmmakers whose projects are ready for release on Zee5. Check out the web series that were announced by its makers and the digital avenue together.

Nilamellam Ratham

The series brings together acclaimed filmmaker Vetri Maaran and actor-filmmaker Ameer after Vada Chennai. The former is at the helm of the project which has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Paper Rocket

Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi has directed the series which has Kalidas Jayaram and Tanya Ravichandran essaying lead roles. Dharan Kumar has composed music for the project, and the team has already unveiled a single from it.

Anantham

Prakash Raj plays the protagonist in this family drama which has been directed by V Priya. John Vijay and Sampath among others essay crucial characters in the movie which revolves around an ancestral home.

Kolaigara Kairegaigal

Kalaiyarasan and Vani Bhojan will be seen essaying lead roles in the series which has been directed by SR Prabhakaran. Tipped as a murder mystery, it is likely to have a release in May.

Thalamai Seyalagam

Vasanthabalan is making his OTT debut with the series which has been produced by Radhika Sarathkumar. The latter herself plays the lead role in the project which is said to be a political drama.

Fingertip 2

This is the sequel to the series directed by S Shivakar which released in 2019. Akshara Haasan, Ashwin Kakumanu, Gayathrie and Sunainaa played lead roles in the first season. Prasanna, Regina Cassandra and Aparna Balamurali are playing lead roles this season.

Kaarmegam

It is the Tamil dubbed version of Telugu series Gaalivaana which has Sharan Koppisetty at the helm. Radhika Sarathkumar and Sai Kumar play lead roles in the series which will drop on April 14.

Five Six Seven Eight

Billed as a musical web series, its story is said to revolve around a group of teenage dancers. Directed by Vijay, most of the actors for the series have been chosen from the director's earlier outing Lakshmi.

Aindham Vedham

Director Naga, whose Ramany vs Ramany 3.0 is currently streaming on aha Tamil, has announced that his project for Zee5 will be a thriller. The announcement on its cast and crew will be made later.

Ayali

The family drama directed by Muthukumar has Mollywood actress Anumol playing the protagonist in it. The details on other cast and crew members are expected to be revealed later.
