Team Naai Sekar Returns comes up with an update on the shooting status of the Vadivelu-starrer

There has been immense expectations from the time director Suraaj had revealed that he has plans to make a film with veteran comedian Vadivelu under the title Naai Sekar, which is a spin-off to his 2006 film Thalai Nagaram. However, AGS Entertainment had registered the title for their project, starring Sathish in the lead.

Suraj and team came up with the title Naai Sekar Returns for the Vadivelu-starrer and Lyca Productions agreed to bankroll the movie. They had unveiled its first look poster and a motion poster a few months ago. There hasn't been any update on the movie for a while now.

The production company has now revealed that they have wrapped up its second schedule in Mysore palace and are ready for the next schedule in Chennai. They also posted a picture in which the crew members, including Vadivelu, are seen posing for a photo inside the palace.

Bigg Boss Tamil fame Shivani Narayanan, who has bagged a few Tamil films recently, is also seen in the photo along with Suraaj. Santhosh Narayanan is composing music for the movie which has art direction by Umesh J Kumar and editing by Selva.  

Vadivelu had earlier signed a five-film deal with Lyca Productions. Though there was news of him teaming up with Kamal Haasan for a movie, no announcement has been made on it yet. He is said to be playing a notable role in Nelson Dilipkumar's Rajinikanth-starrer Thalaivar 169 as well.

Meanwhile, the actor has joined Mari Selvaraj's Maamannan yesterday. The project, which has Udhayanidhi, Keerthy Suresh and Fahadh Faasil essaying lead roles, has music composed by AR Rahman. Vadivelu is expected to play a significant character in the movie.
