Apple TV+ had a pleasant surprise for Ted Lasso fans in the days counting down to Christmas. The streaming giant unveiled a new stop motion animated short film featuring the characters of the beloved TV series, which had them dealing with a strange new adventure.
Over four minutes long, the short opens with the familiar gang together for Christmas, trees all decked and presents wrapped. But as Ted makes his entry, the gang gets a shock as they find his signature mustache missing from his face. Being the good people that they are, the group search high and low for the missing stache, and when their efforts yield no result, offer some creative replacements instead.
From drawing it on to Roy hilariously offering his bushy eyebrows as replacement, they all offer eccentric solutions to the problem, but to no avail. As a dejected Ted leaves, mourning the loss of a ‘perfect Christmas’, he comes to a heartwarming epiphany that truly captures what the holidays are really about.

The Apple TV+ comedy revolves around the story of an American football coach who makes his way to England to coach an English Premier League team. Unbeknownst to him, his employment was a part of the team’s owner’s plans to exact revenge on her ex-husband.
The series stars Jason Sudeikis in the lead, while Hannah Waddingham, Jeremy Swift, Phil Dunster, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Nick Mohammed also feature in pivotal roles.
