Tehran: John Abraham collaborates with Dinesh Vijan, announces the release date of their next film

John Abraham has joined hands with Dinesh Vijan for the very first time for their upcoming film, Tehran. The actor announced the same on his social media handles. He also revealed the release date for the movie while sharing the poster of Tehran.

John took to Instagram to share the first look poster of Tehran. One could see a traffic-filled road, huge building, dark sky and a mountain facing the camera in the first poster of the film.

The poster clears that the movie is based on true events. However, neither John nor Dinesh have cleared yet what the true events which happened in Tehran are.

As you would have already guessed, Tehran is an action film. It would see John in the lead role. The female lead has not been confirmed by anyone associated with the film so far.

While making the announcement, John also shared the release date for Tehran. The actor-producer revealed that the movie will release in theatres on January 26 in 2023.

Tehran is being helmed by Arun Gopalan. Apart from Dinesh’s Maddock Films, the movie is being bankrolled by Shobhna Yadav and Sandeep Leyzell. Renowned writer Ritesh Shah has come on board as the writer for the film. Ashish Verma is co-writing the film with Ritesh.

This is not the first time when John is expecting to release a film on Republic Day. Not very long ago, the actor-producer had announced that his film Attack would release on January 26, 2022.

Of course, the movie’s date has now changed to September 30. Post the release of Attack, which also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles, John will move on to working on Tehran.

While John is associated with Tehran only as an actor, he has penned the storyline for Attack. Of course, he is also on board as a producer for the film.
