Thar sneak-peek: Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor encounters Anil Kapoor, Fatima Sana Shaikh on his mysterious journey

Siddharth (Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor) embarks on a journey through a distant community that has just been devastated by a series of horrific deaths in the harsh, barren lands of Thar. The sneak peek depicts the building mystery as Harsh Vardhan Kapoor, who plays a cop, meets Fatima Sana Shaikh, Satish Kaushik, and Anil Kapoor, who plays a cop hell-bent on solving the mystery in the village.

During the launch of the film's trailer, Harsh claimed that when debutant filmmaker Raj Singh Chaudhary offered him the role, they could only see Anil in it. The actor said that Raj and he had talked about the prospect of this happening with Anil, and it seemed to fit perfectly. In his opinion, Raj should hire the right performers for all of the roles, not just that of his father. 

The Mirzya actor further said that AK vs AK, on the other hand, was a meta film with comedy and dark humour. This is more visual and cinematic, and the goal is to deviate from the expectations of what a father and son should do together.

Harsh stated that he was neither nervous nor at ease due to the fact that he was performing with his father, as he approached the film simply as an actor with no baggage.

The ice was broken with Vikramaditya Motwane's AK vs AK. Anil and Harsh had spent so much time together by the time we arrived in Thar that they had made a film together. The Bhavesh Joshi Superhero actor was just concerned with executing his job without becoming overwhelmed by the situation or the other characters in the film. Thus, he didn't consider it an act to act opposite a family member. Harsh simply treated the situation the same way he would have if it had been anyone else.

Thar, directed by Raj Singh Chaudhary, will be released exclusively on Netflix on May 6, 2022.
