The Boys Season 4 is set to go on floors by the end of 2022, according to Keith Urban, who plays Butcher on the show. This development comes right after the Season 3 trailer was unveiled at SXSW Festival on Saturday.
"I’m shooting The Boys through the end of the year," Keith Urban told Variety. However, there has been no official announcement from Amazon Studios on the fourth instalment yet.
The Boys is a satirical look at what happens when superheroes, who are as well-known as celebrities, as powerful as politicians, and adored as gods, abuse their superpowers.
The series is created by Eric Kripke, and produced by Sony Pictures Television and Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s Point Grey, along with Amazon.
Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, and Claudia Doumit will be seen in Season 3.
Sean Patrick Flanery, Miles Gaston Villanueva, Nick Wechsler, Frances Turner, Kristin Booth, and Jack Doolan are also expected to be a part of the cast.
Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy was recently introduced in a redband trailer, where he plays a Captain America type superhero.
The first three episodes of The Boys Season 3 will be out on June 3 on Amazon Prime Video. After this, new episodes will be released every Friday through July 8.
