The connection between Vijay and Beast director Nelson's film with Rajinikanth; more details inside

Kollywood film lovers are eagerly waiting to welcome Vijay-starrer Beast which is set to hit the screens on April 13 in multiple languages. The film is director Nelson Dilipkumar's third project after Kolamavu Kokila and Doctor. Both the films of his which have been released had garnered positive response from the audience and critics alike.

This is one of the major reasons why Beast is riding on high expectations, apart from the Thalapathy factor in it. Movie buffs were surprised when an announcement on Nelson's fourth movie was made a while ago. This was much before the release date of Beast was confirmed.

It is now known to all that the filmmaker's next film will have none other than Rajinikanth playing the lead role. Tentatively titled Thalaivar 169, the project is expected to go on floors from May. Many speculation regarding the film has been doing the rounds among which Priyanka Mohan acting as the Superstar's daughter is prominent.

Now, it is heard that it was Vijay who encouraged Nelson to helm a film with Rajinikanth. Sun Pictures, which is producing Beast, will be bankrolling Thalaivar 169 as well. The team had revealed a glimpse of the star in the announcement video which featured both Nelson and composer Anirudh in it.

According to an interaction Nelson had with a popular Tamil weekly, the director revealed that it was Vijay who informed him about Sun Pictures and Rajinikanth collaborating again after Annaatthe.

The Beast star said that he can bag the offer if he comes with an interesting script. Though Nelson was a little hesitant about writing a script for Rajinikanth, Vijay boosted his confidence and asked him to give it a try. Now, Rajinikanth fans are also looking forward to the result of Beast.
