The Kids in the Hall was a popular Canadian sketch comedy that has had a big fanbase as well as inspired many comedians over the years. The show, which had five seasons that ran from 1988 to 1995, is set to make a comeback.

Amazon Prime Video has resurrected the original series, with it being produced by Lorne Michaels Broadway Video in association with Canadian production Project 10 for Prime Video. The show is executive produced and written by members of the The Kids in the Hall troupe, which includes Dave Foley, Bruce McCulloch, Kevin McDonald, Mark McKinney and Scott Thompson.

While all of the members of the original troupe also star in the show, the upcoming Prime Video original will also feature new faces such as Paul Bellini, Pete Davidson, Catherine O’Hara, Kenan Thompson, Brandon Ash- Mohammed and Will Forte among others.

After the series, which ran on HBO, Comedy Central and even on CBS for a brief period, ended, the group has since gotten back to work on a few reunion projects. A film called Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy came out in 1996. They even collaborated for a 2010 mini-series calles Death Comes to Town.

Bringing out the best in comedy, The Kids in the Hall was a show that combined quirky sketches with creative comedy and well written character sketches.

The show will be a continuation of the original show and will have eight episodes in the season. Becoming the first Canadian Amazon Prime Video Original show, The Kids in the Hall will start streaming on the popular streaming platform in over 240 countries and territories from May 13, 2022.
