Filled with conversations about murders, a mysterious killer on the loose, a cop and a shaman teaming up, the trailer of Sanjay Kapoor’s upcoming series The Last Hour, which is billed as a supernatural-crime thriller, looks intriguing.
The trailer, which dropped on May 7, introduces Sanjay as Arup, a newly transferred city cop who is investigating a series of murders that happened under mysterious circumstances. To solve the case, he is seen taking the help of a shaman, who can talk to spirits and whose past is tied to the killings.
On his character, Sanjay said, “Having played a host of diverse roles in films over the last 26 years, I was thrilled when I was approached to be part of this supernatural crime thriller. Working in The Last Hour has truly been an amazing experience for me.”
Apart from Sanjay, the series also has Raima Sen, Shahana Goswami, Karma Takapa, Shaylee Krishen, Robin Tamang and Mandakini Goswami in pivotal roles. BAFTA-winner Asif Kapadia is also attached to the paranormal murder mystery.
In the series, Shahana also plays a cop for the first time in her career. “I am really enjoying being a part of the OTT space as there is scope for an actor to really go into the depth of a character and the storyline. The series beautifully captures the scenic and picturesque locales of northeast India and explores the mysterious concept of shamans,” she said.
The Last Hour is written and directed by Amit Kumar, who said he was grateful to “the entire cast has done a splendid job of bringing the exciting narrative to life”.
