Meanwhile, YRF Entertainment will produce streaming content for YRF and will premiere five projects in its first year. The Railway Men began filming on December 1, 2021 and will premiere in December of this year on an OTT platform.

The Railway Men pays tribute to the unsung heroes of the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy, the world's worst man-made industrial disaster. On the same day as the catastrophe 37 years ago, the initiative was announced. Shiv Rawail, a filmmaker, is directing The Railway Men.

Akshaye Widhani, senior vice president of Yash Raj Films, said in a statement that the Bhopal Gas Tragedy is the world's worst industrial disaster that has devastated hundreds of people since the tragedy rocked the city in 1894. At YRF, they are always striving to come up with the most captivating stories for audiences, and this is their tribute to the unsung heroes of the catastrophe 37 years ago, who, despite saving hundreds of lives on that dreadful day, are still unknown to the world.

Yogendra Mogre, the executive producer of YRF Entertainment, said that The Railway Men is their respect for energy, fortitude, and humanity. This was an important story to tell. They will stop at nothing to ensure that this news reaches as many people as possible around the world so that they may comprehend the magnitude of the grief that this tragedy has created in India.
