The Stranger In The Mirror: Sonam reveals the first look of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s autobiography

Actress Sonam Kapoor unveiled the cover of filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s autobiography titled The Stranger In The Mirror. Sonam recently shared an image on her Instagram handle, where the actress was seen holding the latest book that featured the filmmaker's picture on the cover of the latest book.

The Prem Ratan Dhan Payo actress wrote in her post that Mehra is a great mentor for any actor in the industry and seeing his zeal and vision translated on screen is really magical. She further added that the talented director-producer is now sharing his vision and journey with everyone through his autobiography.

Sonam has earlier worked with Mehra in films like Delhi 6 with Abhishek Bachchan and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag with Farhan Akhtar.

The Toofaan director reshared Sonam’s post and captioned, “Here’s the cover reveal of the book written by Reeta Ramamurthy Gupta and yours truly, hope y’all enjoy my journey.”

The filmmaker's journey in the industry began as an ad filmmaker. He debuted as a movie director with the 2001 supernatural action-thriller film Aks that featured Amitabh Bachchan, Raveena Tandon and Manoj Bajpayee in lead roles.

Mehra has made some of the great films over the years including Aamir Khan’s Rang De Basanti and Farhan’s Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. His latest sports-drama Toofaan, which is streaming on Amazon Prime Video, also has Farhan and Mrunal Thakur.

Published by Rupa Publications, Mehra’s autobiographical book, The Stranger In The Mirror, will be released on July 27.
