In some good news for lovers of all things fantasy, a new series is all set to transport viewers to a world of magic and mayhem. Epic fantasy TV show, The Wheel of Time is all set to hit the digital sphere this month.
When and where can The Wheel of Time be viewed?
The Wheel of Time will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on November 19, 2021. While the first three episodes will air on that date, the remaining five will be released every Friday.
What is The Wheel of Time about?
The show, based on the series of books of the same name, is set in a world inhabited by a group of powerful women called Aes Sedai who possess magical powers and abilities. One of them, Moiraine, sets out on an arduous journey when she realises that a prophecy hints at the fate of the world hanging in balance.
She is joined on her quest by five young men and women. One among them is destined to be the Dragon Reborn - someone who is powerful enough to be the world’s savior or its destroyer.
Who are the cast and crew behind The Wheel of Time?
The Wheel of Time stars Rosamund Pike as the protagonist and also features Joshua Stradowski, Álvaro Morte, Marcus Rutherford, Zoë Robins, Barney Harris, Madeleine Madden, and Daniel Henney in pivotal roles.
Rafe Judkins, who has worked on the shows Chuck and Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, is the showrunner. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Studios.
