Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar out, Bhediya’s ranking drops from top theatrical film on OTT

This week has been quit a gamechanger for movies which released on OTT. Ranbir Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, which has been a hit on OTT, is now no longer a part of top theatrical releases on OTT. Well, at least it’s not in the top three.

Not just that, Bhediya ranking has also dropped from the top spot. Ormax Media, which unveils the list every week, has revealed so for the week of June 9-15.

Bhediya’s ranking has dropped to number two. The film, featuring Varun Dhawan in the lead role with Kriti Sanon as the female lead, went from number one to two.

Bhediya suffered this week because Avatar: The Way Of The Water has released on OTT too. The movie is out on Disney+Hotstar and got the highest number of views on its release day itself.

Interestingly, the Tamil film Ponniyin Selvan aka PS 2 also released on OTT, on Amazon Prime Video. However, the film failed to leave as much a mark as Bhediya or Avatar.

PS2 is the third most loved film of the week. The movie is based on the 1954 novel by Kalki Krishnamurthy.

With PS2 also entering the list, both Hrithik Roshan-Saif Ali Khan’s Vikram Vedha as well as Ajay Devgn’s Bholaa are out of the list of most loved theatrical releases on OTT. Currently, no other film has come at the level of competing with the latest releases.
