Udham Singh teaser release: Vicky Kaushal starrer film reveals many 'faces' of freedom fighter

The untold story of the 'Indian who shook the British empire' will be presented soon. The much-anticipated film Udham Singh starring Vicky Kaushal has released a new teaser showing different faces of the freedom fighter and newspaper clips that carry news of his bravery. One of the clips reads 'Indian who shook the British empire'. The actor posted a video clip on his Instagram handle and wrote: "His name etched in our history, his mission shook the entire nation. It's an incredible honour to step into the shoes of Sardar Udham Singh. Watch #SardarUdhamOnPrime, Oct 16 @primevideoin #SardarUdham". (sic) Check out the post here.

Ever since the release announcement, the Uri actor has been receiving an overwhelming response from fans and other celebrities alike. Prominent actors and producers like Richa Chaddha have been pouring in their wishes. Bollywood legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan has also wished him and the director Soojit Sircar all the best for the film.

The film Sardar Udham tells the story of an extraordinary young man whose love for his motherland and people drove him to dedicate his entire life to India’s freedom struggle. He is known to have started a revolution to avenge the Jallianwala Bagh massacre where the British army opened fire at unarmed Indians, killing and injuring more than 1,500 people in 1919 in Amritsar.

The Amazon Original Movie is backed by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar. Sardar Udham also stars Banita Sandhu and Amol Parashar in the lead roles. Amol will be seen playing the role of another freedom fighter, Bhagat Singh.
