Venkatesh to team up with Salman Khan, makes a Bollywood comeback after 25 years

It was earlier confirmed that Salman Khan would make a special appearance in the Telugu remake of the Malayalam hit film Lucifer. The upcoming film features Chiranjeevi in the titular role. Now, Salman is set to bring a Telugu superstar back to Bollywood after two long decades. Yes, we are talking about Venkatesh! The Telugu star is reportedly set to feature alongside the Dabangg actor in Sajid Nadiadwala's forthcoming production.

The film is set to be directed by Farhad Samji and features Pooja Hedge as the female lead. Speaking about Venkatesh's appearance in the film, a source told Pinkvilla the star will appear in this film, and he is excited to return to Bollywood after such a lengthy absence. He'll be starring alongside Salman in a parallel role, and everyone involved is looking forward to seeing the two titans share screen time for the first time.

Not only that, but Sajid and Salman are hunting for a prominent figure from the Southern film industry to play Venkatesh's love interest.

In case you missed it, Salman, during Antim: The Final Truth's promotions in Hyderabad, confirmed at an event that Venkatesh and he were collaborating on a Bollywood project. The superstar also confirmed his appearance in the Lucifer remake. 

Meanwhile, Venkatesh had two releases this year: Narappa and Drushyam 2, both of which are currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Both the films are Telugu remakes of the Dhanush-starrer Tamil film Asuran and the Mohanlal-starrer Malayalam film Drishyam 2 respectively. 

Venkatesh will next be seen in F3: Fun and Frustration, directed by Anil Ravipudi. It is a standalone sequel to the 2019 film F2: Fun and Frustration, as well as the second instalment in the Fun and Frustration franchise. Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Mehreen Pirzada reprise their roles from the previous film in this one.
