Veyil: Shane Nigam starrer film will not release tomorrow, film’s been postponed

The release of the upcoming Shane Nigam starrer Veyil has been postponed due to the spike in COVID-19 cases. The actor took to social media and announced the news. He also explained the postponement is due to the request of theatre owners, as well as the health concerns of cinema lovers. Veyil was set to hit theatres on January 28, 2022.

‘Considering the request of theatre owners and the valuable health of thousands of cinema lovers, we postpone the release date of our film Veyil,’ reads the official statement issued by production company Goodwill Entertainments. The latter part of the statement also announces that the new release date will be revealed soon. It also suggests that the rescheduled date will be set after the number of COVID-19 cases go down.

Veyil is touted to be a drama thriller, helmed by Sarath Menon. The recently released trailer was intriguing enough to make the audience excited for the movie. But the postponement has caused disappointment and fans have been expressing it all over the internet.

The cast of Veyil also includes Suraj Venjaramoodu, Shine Tom Chacko, Merin Jose Pottackal. Shine Tom Chacko will be essaying a prominent role alongside Shine Nigam in the movie. Shaz Mohammad is on board for the cinematography while Parveen Prabhakaran is the editor. Pradeep Kumar is the music composer for the drama.

Besides Veyil, Shane has many interesting projects lined up in his pipeline. It includes Ullasam, Qurbani, and Bermuda. Many reports also suggest that the actor will be seen in an important role in an upcoming Nadirsha directorial.
