Vidya Balan and Pratik Gandhi wrap their untitled dramedy film, announce with a candid photo

Just a month back, it was announced that Vidya Balan, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Pratik Gandhi, and Ileana D'Cruz were teaming up for an untitled dramedy. Now, Vidya took to her Instagram page and announced that Pratik and she have wrapped the shoot in Ooty, where they extensively shot for the film. The National Award-winning actor posted a photo of himself posing with him in which they are laughing wholeheartedly. 

Vidya captioned the candid click, "And just like that, a wonderful winter spell in Ooty comes to an end. As we wrap the shoot of our untitled romantic comedy-drama, we will cherish these memories for life. Missed Sendhil and Ileana!"

The film, a progressive, uninhibited look at modern relationships, marks Applause's first foray into the big screen experience, and this second collaboration with Ellipsis promises to be 2022's ultimate date movie.

"The film is a sparkling, sophisticated romance that subverts all notions of love and fidelity in modern times," says Sameer Nair, CEO of Applause Entertainment. 

He further said that while alchemy best describes the coming together of this incredible cast, they are especially excited to work with Shirsha Guha Thakurta, who has a keen understanding of human relationships. The producer is also thrilled to be working with Ellipsis once more to bring this witty, charming, and passionate story to life.

"The subject of love remains intriguing and debated," say Ellipsis Entertainment partners Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar, and Swati Iyer. 

They wanted to combat relationship fatigue by creating something dynamic, nuanced, relatable, uplifting, and humorous all at the same time. The producers also said this is most likely one's life story, or one that we have witnessed one or more of your friends go through. Applause and Ellipsis are very excited about this multi-starrer, which has a formidable cast, script, and director.

Shirsha Guha Thakurta, the film's director, said that when she first heard this story, she was drawn to its universe because it was honest, funny, and relevant. Working with the actors has been a dream for her, and their kindness is something she will always remember. 

Thakurta revealed that the producers at Applause and Ellipsis have been incredibly supportive and have been a rock for her. The director is nervous, but this journey has been truly unique for her.
