Vishal's Veeramae Vaagai Soodum postpones its theatrical release to February 4

Though the makers of Veeramae Vaagai Soodum had announced its theatrical release on January 26, they didn't bother to inform about its postponement. However, the silence from the team in the last few days made movie lovers come to a conclusion that they are looking for another date for the release.

With the state government imposing restrictions on night shows and complete lockdown on Sundays, the team had no other option but to choose a better release date. The Vishal-starrer has been bankrolled by the actor himself under Vishal Film Factory.

It is now heard that the action thriller will release on February 4. The Malayalam poster of the movie which has the date mentioned on it has been doing the rounds on social media from the morning. A formal announcement from the actor is awaited, though. February 4 was the date on which Suriya's Etharkkum Thunindhavan was supposed to release. 

The family drama is now expected to release after a week or two depending on the restrictions related to the pandemic in the state. It is heard that Ajith's Valimai will also hit the screens towards February end or in the beginning of March.

Dimple Hayathi plays the female lead in Veeramae Vaagai Soodum which has been directed by debutant Thu Pa Saravanan. Marimuthu, Baburaj, Yogi Babu and Raveena Ravi among others play key roles in the movie which has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

The team had released its trailer recently for its Telugu and Kannada versions, too, which have been titled as Saamanyudu and Obba respectively. The action choreography by Anl Arasu, Ravi Varma and Dinesh is said to be one of the highlights of the film which has Vishal playing a common man who fights bravely against the corrupted system.
