SonyLiv drops a promising trailer of Chutzpah

SonyLiv dropped the trailer of their upcoming series, Chutzpah on their YouTube channel on Friday. The teaser, released on June 19, had already created quite a buzz with its cryptic graphics and had been hailed as a new concept with majorly positive reactions from the fans.

The new trailer seems to explore the dark aspects of the underbelly of the Internet as we meet a few youngsters, in a jovial yet impactful manner. The series promises to provide insight and entertainment and has been marked as 18+ due to the adult content it will be exploring.

Varun Sharma and Manjot Singh have reunited with director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba as the pandemic has seemed to delay the filming of the third instalment of Fukrey.

In a statement, Varun Sharma professed his excitement about making his OTT debut with the SonyLive series and said, “The world of internet and social media has become an integral part of life, to the extent that people even switch personalities to seek validation.”

Manjot Singh called the show “interesting and entertaining” in the statement. He went on to describe how the show will follow five individuals with nothing in common except for the world of the internet connecting them throughout. 

The Simarpreet Singh directorial, starring Manjot Singh, Varun Sharma, Elnaaz Norouzi, Tanya Maniktala (A Suitable Boy fame), Kshitij Chauhan, Gautam Mehra, Varun Tewari and Diksha Singh and created by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the series is slated for a release on July 23 on SonyLiv.
