Watch Toofaan trailer: The Farhan Akhtar film promises a rollercoaster journey of a street fighter

Amazon Prime released the official trailer of Farhan Akhtar's upcoming sports drama 'Toofaan' on Thursday. The actor is reuniting with his Bhaag Milkha Bhaag director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra for the film.

After several delays, Amazon Prime Videos finally released the trailer of Farhan Akhtar's much-anticipated sports drama film, Toofaan on Thursday. One of the most awaited releases of 2021, Toofaan is directed by ace filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, who had previously collaborated with Farhan Akhtar for the 2013 mega-hit biopic film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.

The high on adrenaline trailer of Toofaan takes audiences through the journey of Ajju Bhai, a local gangster from Dongri, who sets on the journey to become a professional boxer, Aziz Ali in pursuit of love and respect. An inspiring rags to riches story, the trailer will fill you up with adrenaline.

Toofaan features a strong ensemble cast with noted actors like Paresh Rawal, Mrunal Thakur, Vijay Raaz, Supriya Pathak, Hussain Dalal, Darshan Kumaar and Mohan Agashe alongside Farhan Akhtar who will be seen in the lead role. The film was earlier scheduled for a May 21 release which got delayed due to the second wave of the pandemic ravaging the country.

In order to prepare for his role in the film, Farhan Akhtar underwent 8-9 months of rigorous physical training to get the fit and look of his character.

Toofaan is produced by Farhan's Excel Entertainment and ROMP Pictures in association with Amazon Prime Videos. The movie is set to premiere on July 16 on Amazon Prime Videos. The film will be released in Hindi and English simultaneously across 240 countries on July 16 on the streaming platform.
