When and where to watch the BAFTA 2022 ceremony online in India

The British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) took place on March 13, returning back to the live, red carpet format at London’s Royal Albert Hall, unlike the previous year where it was largely conducted online.

What are the BAFTAs?

BAFTAs are one of the most respected awards events that honour British and international talent but also usher the upcoming awards season. It’s safe to say that the winners here will in all likelihood be in the race for Oscars as well.

Who were the winners?

Power of the Dog, directed by New Zealand filmmaker Jane Campion won the best film, while Will Smith and British performer Joanna Scanlan won the leading actors' trophies. Campion is the third female director to have bagged this honour, right after Chloe Zhao for Nomadland in 2021. Meanwhile, Kenneth Branagh’s semi-autobiographical Belfast was named best British film.
