Will Dev and Mithun be back on screen in Soham’s production?

Dev’s Byomkesh O Durgo Rohoshyo was dropped last week and has impressed the box office report of the Independence Day holidays. Directed by Birsa Dasgupta, the film is still going strong in its second week. In fact, Dev has been Tollywood’s trump card in the post-Covid scenario. He reinvigorated the Bengali industry with his film Tonic and then showed magic, pairing up with Mithun Chakraborty, in the film Projapoti.

Now, Byomkesh is going houseful in the halls and amidst this, it was heard that the Dev-Mithun pair is coming back on the big screen. The film will be produced by actor-turned-producer Soham Chakraborty. Soham, in the set of the film Pradhan, finalised the plan of bringing the pair back. Superstar casting is a big weapon to attract the audience. Dev and Soham have also taken the tactics.

Soham is playing a special role in Pradhan. These two stars will fight each other, as is being heard. They planned the next film while shooting. However, the film will be materialised only if Mithun Chakraborty’s high remuneration can be matched. He had an initial talk with Dev and Soham. 

Dev and Mithun, though belonging to different political camps, have a good personal relationship. Mithun, who is a BJP member, went to the TMC MP Dev's house after completing Projapoti’s shooting. Soham is also a TMC MLA. But political differences will not be an obstacle here.
