Now that Chiranjeevi has put the failure of Acharya behind him, we can't help but be excited about the prospect of watching the 'mega star' on the big screen three times in the next 12 months. The first of his three releases is Godfather, the political drama directed by Mohan Raja, that also stars Nayanthara, Biju Menon, Satyadev Kancharana, Sunil and others in key roles. Barely a few months away from release, the film's shoot is nearly over and the makers announced a new update on Friday.
The first look of Godfather will be launched on July 4. Ahead of the first look launch, the team also shared an announcement poster where there's a vintage black car amid a bunch of people holding black umbrellas. We also notice the fact there's one maroon umbrella that's standing out. If this was a hint about the film's first look, we sense that the image also drops a clue about Chiranjeevi's introduction sequence.
Mohanlal in the original Lucifer arrives when his Godfather and messaiah passes away and paves a path for the future of the political party. So, have they visualised this umbrella sequence when Chiranjeevi comes to pay his last respects to the leader in the film? We'll know more shortly. S Thaman has scored the music for the film which has cinematography by Nirav Shah. Suresh Selvarajan is the art director.
Godfather is jointly produced by RB Choudary and NV Prasad. Konidela Surekha is the presenter. Lakshmi Bhupal has penned the dialogues while Chiranjeevi's writer-friend Satyanand has also given his inputs for the adaptation. Salman Khan and Chiranjeevi will also appear together for a song, choreographed by Prabhu Deva.
