Zack Snyder’s Army of Thieves teaser: Nathalie Emmanuel guides Matthias Schweighöfer’s bank heist

The official teaser of Zack Snyder’s Army of Thieves dropped today and it packs enough surprises that are sure to charm the fans of the original Netflix film Army of the Dead.

The upcoming heist movie is the prequel to the filmmaker’s Dave Bautista-starrer that also featured Matthias Schweighöfer, Ella Purnell, Ana de la Reguera, Tig Notaro and Huma Qureshi. Matthias is starring as well as directing Army of Thieves.

The teaser starts off with Matthias’ character Ludwig Dieter being guided by a woman named Gwendoline, played by the Fast & Furious 7 actor Nathalie Emmanuel, about a bank robbery he and his team are expected to pull off. The clip also shows glimpses of the zombie outbreak in America, which is shown in Army of the Dead.

The movie’s producer Snyder shared the teaser on Twitter and captioned, “Check out the official teaser for ARMY OF THIEVES — the ARMY OF THE DEAD prequel directed by the one and only Matthias Schweighöfer (sic).

Along with Snyder, the upcoming film has been co-produced by Deborah Snyder, Wesley Coller, Dan Maag and Matthias, while the screenplay is by the co-writer of Army of the Dead, Shay Hatten. Army of Thieves also features Ruby O Fee, Stuart Martin, Guz Khan and Jonathan Cohen.
