This American television sitcom is based on the stand-up comedy of Tim Allen. The plot and the content of the show made it one of the highest-rated sitcoms for almost an entire decade, making it number one in the ratings during the 1993-1994 season. However, the series ended after its eighth season in 1999, even after Patricia Richardson and Tim Allen, were offered $25 million and $15 million respectively, to do a ninth season. This sitcom revolves around the Taylor family comprising Tim, his wife, and their three children. Tim Allen, playing the character of Tim Taylor, used to wear sweatshirts and t-shirts sent in from colleges and universities in Michigan. Tim used to endorse them free as he considered Michigan, his home state.
