Melancholia

Directed by Kim Sang-hyeob, the South Korean drama television series stars Im Soo-jung and Lee Do-hyun in the lead. The show is created by Kim Jae-hyun and written by Kim Ji-woon. The plot follows Ji Yoon Soo, a passionate and kind mathematics teacher at the reputable Ahseong High School. Among her students is a mathematical prodigy named Baek Seung Yoo, who initially struggled as a student in the subject despite his immense potential. As she dedicates her time to teaching him, vile rumours pertaining to the nature of their relationship arise, and she eventually gets fired. Four years later they reunite to set the record straight by exposing the corruption at the school. Apart from Im Soo-jung and Lee Do-hyun, the cast includes Jeon Jin-ki, Jin Kyung, Woo Da-vi and Oh Hye-won along with Choi Woo-sung, Yang Jo-ah and Kim Mi-hye, among many others.
