Finding Ola

Tunisian actor Hend Sabry is set to reprise her role as the widely famous Ola Abdel-Sabour, a character from her decade-old film I Want to Get Married (Ayza Atgawez). Sabry also comes onboard as the producer for the Netflix Arab Original. The moving social drama Ola faced rampant pressure from society to get settled into the bond of marriage before the ‘blasphemous’ age of 30. But this series focuses on her at a later stage in life, where she straddles motherhood, her job as a pharmacist, her responsibilities as a daughter as well as her need for companionship. The streaming platform is set to dub the series in 32 languages to ensure the show reaches the widest demography possible and bolster the already-hailed brand of the social drama. Sabry also wishes that the series encourages conversation about women empowerment in Arab countries. Directed by Hadi El Bagoury, Finding Ola also features Hany Adel and Sawsan Badr apart from Sabry.
