Inventing Anna season 1

The Netflix series Inventing Anna revolves around Anna Delvey, an infamous scammer who cheated New York City’s elite out of millions and millions of dollars, and their collective wits.
In 2018, New York Times carried an article about the Russian native, who posed with an enormous canny as an influential, well-heeled German heiress with a $67 million trust fund in the mid-2010s, in order to rob the wealthiest nooks and crannies of the city. The series based on the original article by Jessica Pressler “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People — And its Banks"" will examine how the European got away with her scam at garnering riches by illicit means and how she eventually got caught. Another of Pressler's articles had been the seeds of the 2019 acclaimed film Hustlers. Ozark‘s two-time Emmy winning actress Julia Garner plays the lead role of Delvey. Anna Chlumsky plays Vivian, a reporter seeking a big story that can fetch her some solid credentials. The cast also includes a fine motley of actors drawn from Orange is the New Black, Succession, West Wing. Grey Anatomy's Shonda Rhimes is behind this series. David Frankel, who directed The Devil Wears Prada, manned the pilot episode. "
