The Andy Warhol Diaries

Based on Warhol's memoir published two years after his death, the six-part documentary series includes a simulated voice narration achieved through artificial intelligence. The series tracks the rise from his roots in Pittsburg to stardom in New York, a near-death encounter, his romance with Jen Johnson that does not last. It also circles on the relationship Warhol shares with Jean Michel, stressing the queer undercurrents. The paranoia engendered by AIDS also makes its presence deeply felt. The series has been directed by Andrew Rossi and produced by Ryan Murphy.
