The Pale Horse is a mystery thriller , broadcast in two episodes, that is loosely based on the Agatha Christie novel of the same name. Written by Sarah Phelps, who had previously adapted other Agatha Christie novels like The ABC Murders and Ordeal by Innocence for television, the show kicks off with an investigation of the murder of a young woman which sheds light on a trio of Witches who are believed to be responsible for a series of murders. Whether that assumption is rational or not is dissected as the show goes along. Directed by Leonora Lonsdale, the show features performances from Rufus Sewell, Sheila Atim, Georgina Campbell, Bertie Carvel, Kathy Kiera Clarke, James Fleet, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Claire Skinner, Rita Tushingham, Sean Pertwee and Kaya Scodelario. With Cinematography by Jarin Blaschke, the show is produced by Mammoth Screen in collaboration with Agatha Christie Productions.
