Ram Charan was supposed to collaborate with Jersey-fame director, Gowtham Tinnanuri in this film. Charan's team announced the news of it getting shelved on X (Twitter) in 2022.
Ram Charan had signed the sports drama, Merupu, opposite Kajal Aggarwal. The film went on floors in 2011 for a few days but got shelved for unknown reasons.
Ram Charan also signed a film which was supposed to be directed by Koratala Siva. As Charan got roped in for S S Rajamouli's RRR, the Koratala Siva directorial got shelved.
The perfectly planned film of Ram Charan and filmmaker Mani Ratnam got shelved primarily because the former was reportedly unhappy with the final draft of the script.
Ram Charan had another film with filmmaker Surender Reddy, after the 2016 film, Dhruva. This untitled film would have been their second collaboration but eventually got shelved.
The Telugu actor has tentatively titled RC16 opposite Janhvi Kapoor and RC17 with filmmaker Sukumar. Rumors have it that Rajamouli's RRR 2 is also on the cards.
