The Mother

The Mother tells the story of a former assassin who strives to protect and rekindle her bond with her estranged daughter after she learns her actions may have put her life at risk. The film is directed by Niki Caro, also known for her work in the 2002 film Whale Rider. The mother is played by Jennifer Lopez, known for the 2001 American romantic comedy film The Wedding Planner. The daughter is played by Lucy Paez, while Joseph Fiennes, Omari Hardwick, and Gael García Bernal are seen in supporting roles.
