Moon Knight drops one episode every week and the latest one has been making a lot of buzz. Of course, Oscar Issac’s acting is a major reason why this Marvel adaptation of Batman is working so well.

Gullak is back with a new season. This show, featuring Jameel Khan and Geetanjali Kulkarni among others in the lead roles, is loved by all age groups. The new season isn’t a disappointment either and thus, it was the third most viewed OTT original of the week.

Rishi Kapoor’s last movie Sharmaji Namkeen was a direct-to-OTT release on Amazon Prime. The movie has been loved by one and all and thus, it is the fourth highest OTT original of the week.

Not just Gullak but Kunal Kemmu’s web show Abhay also released its third season this week. The series tried something new which has received a mixed response. Abhay fans are not completely happy or disappointed with the show. Thus, this series ranked on fifth position. It is also to be noted that Abhay actually released on April 8 (the mid-night after April 7).

If Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah come in one film, that is bound to be loved. Jalsa retains a spot in the top 10 and is on the sixth position this time around.

Arunoday Singh’s entertainer, Apharan season 2, which released on Voot, takes the seventh place. The series introduces veteran actor Jeetendra this time around.

Despite being in a lot of controversy, Bridgerton S2 has secured a position as the eight most-viewed OTT original of the week.

Ryan Reynolds’ The Adam Project also managed to get a position on the list. It is the ninth most viewed OTT original of the week.

Abhishek Bachchan’s latest release Dasvi, which directly streamed on Jio Cinema and Netflix, has received a mixed response. Thus, the movie ranks on number 10.

The award-winning teen drama is created and written by Sam Levinson for HBO. It revolves around a teenager, Rue Bennett, played by Zendaya, who is recovering from drug addiction. She is seen struggling to fit in the world and the group of high school students, who themselves are trying to find their identities while dealing with trauma, drugs, friendships, love and sex. The show opened to positive reviews and is highly praised especially for the subject that it deals with, the performances, cinematography, plot and the background score. Zendaya won Emmy for Best Actress in a Drama Series. The show went on to become the second most-viewed series on HBO after Game of Thrones. Season two of the show was recently released and it has been renewed for another season. The series also stars Maude Apatow, Angus Cloud, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, Storm Reid, Hunter Schafer, Algee Smith and Sydney Sweeney, among others.

The Marathi film, written and directed by Chaitanya Tamhane, stars Aditya Modak, Arun Dravid, Sumitra Bhave, Deepika Bhide Bhagwat, and Kiran Yadnyopavit. The film received a positive response upon its release and was the first Indian film since the 2001 film, Monsoon Wedding to compete at the 77th Venice International Film Festival. The film follows the story of a musician Sharad Nerulkar who devotes his entire life to Indian classical music. He follows the traditions and discipline of renowned gurus in the field only to wonder years later if he can actually achieve the excellence that he is running after.

Regarded as a film where Allu Arjun gives one of the best performances of his career, this Krish directorial also features Manchu Manoj, Anushka Shetty and Manoj Bajpayee, among others. The film follows the story of five people, a musician, a sex worker, a weaver, a cable operator and a grief stricken man who becomes the victim of racism. This 2014 film, directed by Surender Reddy, follows the story of two brothers Ram and Lucky(Allu Arjun), who have vastly different personalities. The film has inspired a television series, which is currently in the development stage.

The black comedy mini-series stars Gulshan Devaiah, Sulagna Panigrahi, Anjali Patil and Heeba Shah. Directed by Anubhuti Kashyap, the show is about a depressed and suicidal person. After several failed attempts at killing himself, he hires an assassin to do the job. But he then decides to give his life a second chance and his hired assassin isn't someone who leaves his job undone. How he chases him around is what forms the rest of the story. The show is created by Anirban Dasgupta and Dibya Chaterjee. Jaspreet says he finds the show, created by his friend, inspiring.

The film is the modern-day adaptation of William Shakespeare's play, Hamlet. The film was received well by both critics and fans. The period romantic drama features Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh in lead roles. The film is based on O. Henry's short story of 1907, The Last Leaf. Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah’s Jalsa has finally replaced Arunoday Singh’s Apharan S2 to become the second most-loved OTT original of the week. The film, a thriller, has caught everybody’s attention for obvious reasons – having such amazing actors in the starcast.

Oscar Issac is here in MCU’s Batman version, Moon Knight. The first episode of this series is out and there hasn’t been a single bad review about it. There’s why this deserves a place on the list, even if on the third position.

While replaced, Apharan S2 did not go out of the list. The web show brought in a lot of entertainment, a different kind and has been loved since 2018, which is when its first season had launched.

Madhuri Dixit-Nene made her OTT debut with the thriller web show, The Fame Game. She plays the lead role of superstar Anamika, who goes missing one night. The audiences realize she was not leading the perfect life as her search continues.

If there is a show after The Crown which is loved, it is Bridgerton. Thus, the viewers were excited for the second season of the show, even more so because this time, the web series explores Indian-origin elites too.

Kunal Kemmu’s much-loved web show is coming back. This time, Abhay returns for the third season and promises equally gritty action which could leave your stomach in rumbles.

Sunny Leone’s web series also continues to pave a way in the lust of top 10 OTT originals of the week. The show gains eight position on the list.

It has been a long time since Jim Sarbh-Ishwak Singh’s Rocket Boys released on Sony LIV. The show has won over people and we mean, Scam 1992 level! Thus, it comes as no surprise that Rocket Boys still dominates on the list, even if at number nine.

Rishi Kapoor’s last movie Sharmaji Namkeen released on Amazon Prime Video recently. The film, a slice-of-life, has been gathering eyeballs but it came last on the list of top OTT originals of the week.

Ajay Devgn’s Rudra continues dominating as top OTT original of the week, Vidya Balan-Shefali Shah’s Jalsa comes second

The film is based on the Indo-Pak war of 1971. The actor plays the role of Squadron leader Vijay Srinivas Karnik, under whose leadership, an airstrip is created with the help of 300 women from a neighbouring village while being targeted by the enemy. This project marked his digital film debut and one of the most iconic moments was Ajay Devgn's patriotically convincing the village's women with the dialogue, “Tiranga Ya Toh Lehra Kar Aana Ya Tirange Mein Lipatkar Aana.”

The crime thriller, which marks the OTT debut of Devgn explores the dark and gritty world of Rudra, but the starkest of them all was Rudra sitting on the edge of the plank of an under-construction highrise, dangling his feet as a green Mumbai skyline surrounds him. It is directed by Rajesh Mapuskar and also stars Esha Doel, Atul Kulkarni, Ashwini Kalsekar, Raashii Khanna.

Tanhaji: The Unsung Hero is a historical action film where Ajay Devgn plays the role of Tanhaji, a commander of Chhatrapati Shivaji's Maratha Army. The film has one of the unforgettable moments where the actor is seen ziplining across a mountain crevice to slay an unexpecting army of Mughals. It shows one of the strategies, deployed by the Maratha family to fight the enemy.

The actor is not only known for being an action hero but also for great comedic timing. And it is evident in the film, Total Dhamaal. Presented by the actor himself, Ajay Devgn is seen in a completely different avatar. The film is about a few greedy people who chase a black money lump sum. The mastermind behind the entire mission is Ajay Devgn's character. The film has a scene where Ajay Devgn uses a talkback - GPS as he drives across a desert in a stolen vehicle. It is a romantic comedy and follows the story of a wealthy 50-year-old (Ajay) who falls in love with a pretty 26-year-old woman. It narrates how Brockovich, an unemployed single mother who lands a job at her lawyer’s legal firm, unearthed a series of unethical behaviour by energy corporation, Pacific Gas and Electric Company. The company was responsible for contaminating groundwater resources in Hinkley, California with cancer-causing chromium, leading to several residents of the area falling ill. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons, and Kodi Smit-McPhee, the film was nominated in 12 categories at this year’s Oscars. Jane Champion won the Academy Award for Best Director. Champion had previously received an Oscar for her screenplay for The Piano.

Jessica Chastain received her first Academy Award for her portrayal of the titular evangelist Tammy Faye in this Michael Showalter directorial. The film follows the story of Tammy, from her humble beginning to her reaching stardom as an evangelist. The film also won the Oscar for Best Makeup and Hairstyling. Andrew Garfield, who was nominated at this year’s Oscars for his role in Tick, Tick... Boom!, stars as Tammy’s husband, Jim Bakker.

The first Japanese film to be nominated for the Best Picture Oscar, Drive My Car is directed by Ryusuke Hamaguchi. Based on Haruki Murakami's short story of the same name, the film was nominated for Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay as well. It won the Oscar for Best International Feature Film.

This American documentary film focuses on the Harlem Cultural Festival, a series of arts and music events celebrating African American culture that took place in 1969. The documentary explores the festival, which witnessed performances from popular Black artists like Stevie Wonder, Mahalia Jackson, Nina Simone, The Staple Singers and Gladys Knight &amp; the Pips. It won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.

Directed by Steven Spielberg, this musical drama is based on the stage musical of the same name. The film follows the love story between a man and woman who belong to rival gangs, and stars Ansel Elgort, Rachel Zegler and Ariana DeBose in key roles. DeBose won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

No Time To Die featured Daniel Craig’s last outing as James Bond. The film, directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, is the 25th instalment in the James Bond film franchise. At this year’s Oscars, the film was nominated in the Best Visual Effects, Best Sound and Best Original Song categories. Billie Eilish and Finneas O'Connell won the award for the film’s theme song. Besides Craig, the film also featured Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz, Rory Kinnear, Ralph Fiennes, Rami Malek and Ana de Armas.

This Denis Villeneuve directorial is adapted from Frank Herbert’s 1965 book of the same name and is the second film adaptation of the same after David Lynch’s panned 1984 film. Dune received 10 nominations at this year’s Oscars, winning six - Best Cinematography, Editing, Score, Production Design, Sound &amp; Visual Effects. It became the film that scored the most awards at this year’s ceremony.

Encanto comes from directors Jared Bush and Byron Howard, the directorial duo who helmed the Academy Award-winning film Zootopia. Howard and Bush were able to replicate Zootopia’s success with Encanto as well, as the film not only received adulation from fans and critics alike, but was also nominated for three Oscars. The film won the Academy Award this year for Best Animated Feature Film.

Two of Zack Snyder’s films bagged awards at this year’s Oscars, and one of them is Army Of The Dead. This zombie movie, which became one of the most watched Netflix original films of the year, stars Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana de la Reguera, Theo Rossi, among others. The film won the Oscars Fan-Favorite this year.

Years after Justice League(2017) was released, fans lobbied for the director’s cut to be released after Zack Snyder, who left production mid way, claimed that the film was not the one he had envisioned. From the ninth position to directly ranking second, Arunoday Singh's latest Voot series has come a long way within a week of its release.

Not just that, even Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah's Jalsa has made its debut on the list by ranking third this week.

The Madhuri Dixit-starrer The Fame Game has slipped down to the fourth position after ranking second for a couple of weeks.

Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, and Dhairya Karwa's Gehraiyaan, directed by Shakun Batra, have maintained in the top five since the film made it to the list.

Oscar Isaac's much-awaited Marvel series, Moon Knight, which is premiering on March 30, has already created buzz and made it to the top six this week.

Sunny Leone's latest web series, Anamika, has jumped from the tenth position to directly make it to the seventh spot on the list.

Last week, the ZEE5 web series Bloody Brothers also made its debut, ranking in the eighth position.

Scam 1992, one can say, has been a milestone in changing the way OTT is viewed. The Pratik Gandhi-starring show released in 2020 and became an instant hit. This Hansal Mehta directorial retold the story of share market broker Harshad Mehta and the scam he ran.

Rajkummar Rao’s Bose: Dead or Alive is yet another mystery-filled web series on OTT. The show questions what happened to freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose – was he really dead or just pretended to be?

Inspired by a real-life story, JL50 narrated the story of a plane that went missing in 1984 but crashed in 2019. The series was led by Abhay Deol and marked his debut on OTT.

Panchayat was one of the OTT projects that brought actor Jitendra Kumar at the forefront. He played the role of Abhishek Tripathi who was well-educated but could not find work. Thus, he takes the decision to work for the panchayat in a remote Indian village.

This 2002 film marked the maiden directorial of V. V. Vinayak. The film chronicles the story of Aadi Keshava Reddy, who returns to his homeland over a decade later, vowing to take revenge on the people who murdered his family. Complicating his mission is the fact that he is in love with his mortal enemy’s daughter. The film, which pairs Tarak opposite Keerti Chawla, has been remade in Tamil and Bengali as Jai and Surya respectively.

Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, who has penned the screenplay for Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak, this 2018 film stars Tarak, Pooja Hegde, Eesha Rebba, and Jagapathi Babu in lead roles. The film revolves around the story of Veera Raghava Reddy, a man whose life becomes coloured by violence after his father is brutally murdered by the rival villagers. After going on a spree of violence, he decides to leave his village with the hope that the longstanding rivalry between his village and the next will come to an end. But little does he know that the violence he thinks he has left behind will pop again in his life.

Tarak dons the khaki in this 2015 action flick, essaying the role of police officer Daya. Corrupt to his core, and friends with some powerful criminals, Daya’s outlook on life changes when he realises that his actions have inadvertently led to the brutal assault and murder of a young woman, caused by the criminals who Daya allowed to walk free. He vows to bring the criminals to justice, despite stoking the rage of some powerful criminals. In addition to Tarak, Kajal Aggarwal and Prakash Raj also star in this Puri Jagannadh directorial.

Another Rajamouli-Tarak collaboration, this 2003 film also features Bhumika Chawla and Ankitha in leading roles. The film revolves around the story of the titular protagonist, an orphaned young man who is in the employ of a prominent landlord. However, there is more to the meek, composed man that meets the eye and as the story progresses, it is revealed that he came to his employer with a driven purpose in mind.

This 2016 film comes from the mind of Acharya director Koratala Siva. Janatha Garage revolves around the story of Sathyam, a workshop owner who, along with others, decides to take the law in their hands after witnessing the death of a close friend’s daughter. As the group, under the cover of their titular workshop, engage in acts of vigilantism, Sathyam’s loved ones’ lives are threatened. After the death of his brother, Sathyam decides to send his nephew Anandan away for safety. Years later, Anandan returns, and seems to share the same penchant for justice as his uncle. The film stars Tarak, Mohanlal, Samantha, and Nithya Menen in lead roles.

Jr NTR has joined hands with SS Rajamouli yet again for the latter’s magnum opus, RRR, which hit theatres today. The film, which follows a fictional story, sees Tarak essay the role of Indian revolutionary Komaram Bheem, who played an important part in the events that led to the Telangana Rebellion of 1946. Interestingly, the star had also collaborated with Rajamouli on the latter’s maiden film venture as well, Student No.1.
Initial responses for Tarak’s performance in RRR by the audience have been nothing short of excellent. Part of the film’s review by OTTplay reads, “In the case of Jr NTR, the casting is pitch-perfect. He delivers exactly what's expected of him in a raw, effective and intense performance.”
