No one could think of Bigg Boss without thinking about Salman Khan as its host. Since 2010, the Bollywood superstar's hosting gig on Bigg Boss has been a source of viewer entertainment. Many viewers tune in each week not because they enjoy the show's format but because of Bhaijaan.
Salman's fan base will always have a soft spot for his Bigg Boss hosting persona. He has been known to develop a unique bond with the audience of the reality show as well as the contestants throughout the years. Salman has shown his strength as a host in a variety of ways, including by correcting their behaviour and then comforting and supporting them.
Now that Salman is getting ready to host Bigg Boss OTT, it's worth thinking back on the times when he proved why he's among the top hosts on Indian television.
Salman entered the Bigg Boss house during the 13th season to teach the inmates a valuable lesson. He embarrassed the participants by coming inside the house and cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms. Bigg Boss had never before had the host come into the main house for this reason.
During her time in the Bigg Boss home, Rashami Desai had Salman Khan's support. The superstar told her on an episode of Weekend Ka Vaar that her ex-boyfriend Arhaan is married and has a child. Because Arhaan had kept the truth from Rashami, Salman became furious with him. She broke down in tears upon learning the news. Salman came inside when he saw that Rashami was upset. In reality, he serves as Rashami's relationship counsellor.
In Season 16, Salman won over viewers with his thoughtful treatment of contender Abdu Rozik. He gave Abdu a set of dumbbells as a present. He poked fun at Abdu, suggesting he get in shape to win over the female competitors.
Season 15 of Bigg Boss had Salman Khan paying respect to the season 13 winner and late actor Sidharth Shukla. The channel aired a highlight reel of positive moments for Sidharth on the show, making viewers feel nostalgic. "Aaj Bigg Boss ke uss winner ka birthday hai, jo hamare saath nahi hai," Salman stated at the beginning of the reality show. He added that Sidharth is irreplaceable and left the world too soon. Salman went on to say that he hopes Sidharth enjoys his special day as much as he misses him.
The show's popularity has skyrocketed because of Salman's skill as a host. On June 17, you can watch the second season of his show, Bigg Boss OTT, on Jio Cinema.
