Amazing early reactions to Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse have sent shockwaves throughout the world. Fans are anxious to learn more about Miles Morales' adventures and the unique characters he meets in the Spider-Verse.

The movie's cast of spider people, along with the actors who will be voicing them, are introduced here.

The effects of Miles Morales' first outing as Spider-Man are still being felt. After facing the trials of his first year as a high school superhero, Peter Parker returns in Across the Spider-Verse more mature, wiser, and stronger. Star of the sequel and Miles' voice actor Shameik Moore explained that it's the typical battle for Spider-Man, needing to balance being a good friend, a good family member, a good student, and a teenager. As he works to define who he wants to be, he searches for meaning. He's taking on a lot, and Moore thinks most people can empathise with that.

Spider-Woman of Earth-65, Gwen Stacy, returns for more action and adventure. She is a self-assured superhero with heightened strength, speed, agility, and spider sense who can relate to Miles' experiences as a high schooler and a masked crimefighter. Hailee Steinfeld is back as Gwen, and she claims that their relationship with Miles is more complex this time. There is a strong connection between them, and while Gwen wants to encourage Miles to do what she knows he is capable of, she also wants to take on the world with him, and there are many obstacles in their way. It will be fascinating to observe where their path goes from here.

Miguel O’Hara

Oscar Isaac voices Miguel, one of the first new characters Miles meets on his Spider-Verse adventure. The actor said about Spider-Man that this film delivers the most wonderfully realised interpretation of the Spider-Man story. Knowing that there is a Latino Spider-Man has always been a source of pride for him, and it was a pleasure to give Miguel O'Hara his voice. Creating his own personality—from his tone to his intensity to his sad darkness to his sense of humour or lack thereof—was a lot of fun. They kept pushing to give him a personality all his own.

Jessica Drew

One of the new favourites of the film will be Jessica Drew, the super-cool and very pregnant Spider-Woman of Earth-332. In the incident at the Guggenheim Museum, Issa Rae's character, Jessica, rides up on her motorcycle and immediately tries to choke the vulture. She has said that Jessica is a hero in every sense. It is in the nature of heroes to risk their lives on occasion. Now that Jessica is ready to raise a family of her own, she is concerned about the state of the world her future child will inherit. To that end, she is giving her all to combat the evil in the world while simultaneously serving as a stellar role model for the next generation of spider people, including Gwen.

Pavitr Prabhakar

Sharad Devarajan, Suresh Seetharaman, and Jeevan J. Kang created this distinctively Indian interpretation of the web-slinger, which first appeared in the January 2005 issue of Spider-Man: India. As Gwen and Miles travel through space and time in search of The Spot, they run into Pavitr for the first time. Pavitr calls Earth 5101 home, specifically the wacky, futuristic hybrid of Manhattan and Mumbai known as Mumbattan.

Pavitr Prabhakar's voice actor, Karan Soni, continued that when they initially meet him in the movie, he's got it all going the way Miles doesn't—he's doing great in school, he has this incredibly attractive girlfriend, and he's like making that work at the same time. He seems unconcerned by anything, and yet he is able to combat crime with relative ease. As the film continues, it becomes clear that he is on the verge of facing the first true tragedy of his life. Seeing this character mature from a kidlike figure into a fully-fledged Spider-Man, complete with his fair share of duties and baggage, is a fascinating story arc.

Hobie Brown

Gwen adores Spider-Punk, alias Hobie Brown, since he plays in a great band, can shred on the electric guitar, and says "schedule" the English way. His home planet is an offbeat hybrid of London in the 1970s and 1980s and New York City in the present day.

Spider-Punk voice actor Daniel Kaluuya said of the movie that he was obsessed with Spider-Man growing up. In the beginning, I started with Spider-Man: The Animated Series. As he got older, the actor started checking out the Spider-Man flicks. All three of the actors who have played Spider-Man—Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland—have been fantastic. However, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse ended up being an unanticipated classic. And here he is, giving voice to a person from the same place he calls home. This is beyond anything he could have imagined! Camden, the birthplace of Spider-Punk and a centre of punk history, is where he was raised. Knowing where his words and phrases originated allowed the actor to have fun with them.
