Be it her portrayal of Manju Mai in Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies or Kombdi Tai in Kunal Kemmu's Madgaon Express, the actress knows her job well. Nude on ZEE5

The 2018 film Nude stars Naseeruddin Shah, Chhaya Kadam, Om Bhutkar, Madan Deodhar, and Kalyani Mulay in important roles. The movie is centered around a mother, Yamuna (Kalyani), who poses as a nude model for students at an arts college so she can support her son's education after her husband's maltreatment. The film portrays the story of a single mother and the difficulties in life that she tries to overcome. The film is directed by Ravi Jadhav. 

The story of Jhund revolves around a retired sports teacher Vijay Borade (Amitabh Bachchan), who decided to form a Slum football team. To keep the children (who he sees potential in) away from drugs and crime, he gives his all for them to realise their passion in life. The movie is based on the real-life story of Vijay Barse. Apart from Big B, the film also stars Chhaya Kadam and is directed by Nagraj Manjule.

Chhaya Kadam portrayed the role of Rashmibai in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi. The film, which stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role is about a young lady, who is duped and sold to a brothel by her lover. She then takes back control of her life and the world that she was once a pawn in using her contacts in the underworld. The film was appreciated by the critics as well as audiences when released in theatres. 

Fandry on ZEE5

Directed by Nagaraj Manjule, the Marathi movie Fandry stars Somnath Awghade, Chhaya Kadam, Nagraj Manjule, Kishor Kadam, and Rajeshwari Kharat. The narrative of the film revolves around a lower-class teenage boy who falls in love with an upper-class girl. While his family is struggling to get some money, Jabya is troubled by his difficult romantic life. The film won two National Awards—Best Debut Director and Best Child Artist. 

Redu on SBS On Demand

Redu is directed by Sagar Vanjari and stars Vinamra Babhal, Chhaya Kadam, Gouri Konge, Shashank Shende, and Mrunmayi Arun Supal. The story of the film revolves around a middle-aged man, who finds a radio by accident and it completely transforms his life. He lovingly calls it Redu. However, his life takes a U-turn when he misplaces it one day and decides to find it again by hook or crook.
