Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 actress Prantika Das: Kartik Aaryan and I were destined to meet in Kolkata

Kartik Aaryan spent the entire day in Kolkata shooting at different locations in Kolkata. City girl Prantika Das shot with him as well in this Anees Bazmee’s horror comedy. On Tuesday Prantika and Kartik shot at Howrah Bridge, Howrah flower marker, and Laha Bari in North Kolkata. An excited Prantika spoke to OTTplay after her wrap-up.

“Kartik and I have a lot of common friends. We could have met in Mumbai also. It was our destiny that we met here in Kolkata through Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. He was telling me that though he came to Kolkata a number of times, this was the first time he shot here. His first shot in Kolkata was with me and that was my first shot for the film,” said the actress.  

The shooting started around 5 am on Tuesday. Kartik Aaryan reached the spot early, clad in his Rooh Baba avatar. He had a black bandana and a black gown, wearing a rudraksha on his neck and a pair of sunglasses. He posed on a bike on Howrah Bridge. Prantika sat by his side in a blue cocktail short dress. In the film, Kartik’s heroine is Tripti Dimri. Vidya Balan also plays an important role. The actor came to Kolkata on Monday evening to shoot Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

Meanwhile, Prantika caught attention two years back with the reality show Swayamvar: Mika Di Vohti. She is excited about working in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. She said, “It is a wonderful experience. I am excited. Everything happened very systematically. They are fast and smooth, and most importantly, the director says the last word on sets,” she told us.

In another interview with Hindustan Times Bangla, Prantika said, “Let me tell you the story of meeting Kartik. I had a call time in the early morning today. Everyone was in a bit of a mishap. The unit is hurrying and Kartik is ready with the bike. Someone told me that Kartik was waiting for me. I pinched myself to make sure that it was not a dream. Then I went there and saw him with that black bandana. He extended his hand and introduced himself. I said of course I knew him. He is a wonderful man. We discussed the scene and thus our journey started.” 

Prantika did not share the good news before Tuesday morning. She also kept it a secret from her family till three days back. She smilingly said, ‘After I told my mother, she asked whether I was hallucinating. Just think about it! Nobody wanted to believe it.” 

Prantika said, ‘Mukesh Chabra came to Kolkata for casting. There were many non-actors also who came to the audition. I stood behind thirty people. No source works there. I still did not know which project the audition was for. I thought it was for some advertisement. I got a call after two weeks and I was told that I had been selected to act in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Kartik Aaryan. I could not believe it.”
