Karan Veer Mehra recently won Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 18. Two days after his big victory, the actor fondly remembered his friend Sushant Singh Rajput on his birth anniversary (January 21). The television actor was on good terms with SSR and he had earlier spoken about their bond on the reality show. Now, in an exclusive interview with OTTplay, Karan revealed his one regret. The TV actor wished he was there with Sushant during his difficult times.

Karan Veer Mehra remembers Sushant Singh Rajput

During a conversation with us, Karan Veer Mehra recalled how Sushant Singh Rajput guided him through his tough times. "He was a couple of years younger to me. But with his brain, his intellect, and his experience of life, he was way too smart and way too intelligent to help me and guide me through my tough times. So, I always remember him as one of my gurus, one of the people who helped me survive," said the Bigg Boss 18 winner.

The TV actor added that it was difficult to sum up his friendship with Sushant in a few lines. However, he said, "But I wish I was there to just hug him tight and be with him in his difficult time. That regret, I'll take it to the grave."

When Karan Veer dedicated an emotional post to SSR

Back in 2020, Karan Veer described his bond with Sushant Singh Rajput by penning an emotional note on social media.

Two days after SSR's untimely demise, on June 16, 2020, Karan wrote, "They also say if you remember all the good and happy memories of the person who left, his journey becomes easier and simpler, and if I knew this person half as much as I did, I’d know he never liked it easier and simpler, he never did something he didn’t want to do & he never went to some place he didn’t want to go to, so where ever he is right now, one thing is for sure he is stronger, happier and definitely “more” successful (sic)."

Meanwhile, Karan won Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss 18 on January 19, 2025. The show streamed on JioCinema and OTTplay Premium.
