Popular singer Akasa is ready to showcase her acting skills in the web series Chamak. She is currently gearing up for its release, which is due on December 7. Before it premieres on SonyLIV, OTTplay interacted with Akasa. In conversation with us, Akasa recalled being scrutinized in the past for her appearance on a public platform.
Akasa on battling scrutiny
While interacting with OTTplay, Akasa admitted she hasn't been largely scrutinised as a musician. However, a few years ago, when she put herself on a platform, Akasa felt it gave people all the right to judge her.
"There was a point where I did put myself on a platform, which I learned later, that gave people all the rights in the world to not only scrutinise me but say whatever they wanted. That is when I saw it. As a musician, I hadn't gone through it. I did realise for a while that I had let it get to me and I let it define me. If they say 'she is so boring', I believed that I was boring," she said.

The singer further mentioned, "It took some time and I realised that as long as I am true to who I am and as long as who I am on social media, in a reality show or right now, I don't need to care about the scrutiny because this is me as I am. If you are not like this, you can criticise it. But as long as I am not faking it, I don't need to worry."
