Dies Irae, Pranav Mohanlal's most recent film, debuted online last week on JioHotstar and OTTplay Premium. The performances of all the other actors, particularly Arun Ajikumar, who portrayed Kani's brother Kiran, are being complemented by many calling it one of the strongest aspects of the film. Arun spoke about filming the pivotal fall scene in the horror thriller in an interview with OTTplay.
When he initially learnt about the movie's fall sequence, the young actor said he was thrilled. "I was eager to see how Radul Sadasivan, the film's director, would present it on screen. I was afraid of heights, thus it was difficult for me to film this sequence," he remarked. Arun went on to say that when he witnessed the moment during the dubbing process, he knew it would leave a lasting impression on the audience. "My father knew about the scene but got scared and held my hand when he saw it on big screen," he stated.

As his character had a wide spectrum of emotions, particularly how he dealt with grief, Arun stressed that Dies Irae examined him as a performer. "I am grateful for this opportunity as I believe working with such directors brings out the true potential of any actor," he said.
It was undoubtedly difficult to perform Kiran, but Rahul knew exactly what he needed from Arun. According to the characterisation I was given, Kiran is someone who is having difficulty coping with his loss while attempting to maintain composure. He disclosed, "I went to one of my friends' houses for his father's funeral, and it was a traumatic experience for me because he was kicking around a ball and talking random stuff to me." After Arun told Rahul about the incident, the director encouraged him to do anything he wanted while filming.
Arun thoroughly loved the entire process of filming Padakkalam, comparing it to a cool getaway. "Padakkalam offered me a proper college life in 50 days, something I had never experienced. I miss these kinds of moments," he continued. JioHotstar and OTTplay Premium are streaming this fantasy movie, which also starred Sandeep Pradeep, Sharaf U Dheen, and Suraj Venjaramoodu.
