Abhishek Bachchan has been receiving a lot of acclaim for his performance in the Dasvi trailer, and it appears that his father, Amitabh Bachchan, is the latest admirer. In an exclusive interaction with OTTplay, AB Jr has reacted to Big B's heart-touching reaction to Dasvi. The actor revealed that his father wasn't in town, otherwise he would have given a hug to the megastar.

Abhishek exclusively told us that he was surprised by the series of tweets posted by Big B on the Dasvi trailer. The Guru actor said, "Unfortunately, he isn't in town, so I can't go give him a hug. He's filming in Lucknow right now. But it was wonderful."

He further shared his love for his family, stating, "For me, there's no greater joy than when my family likes what I do. I have always said that the greatest source of inspiration for me is my family and making them happy and proud. I'm so moved by his reaction, and I hope once he sees the film he has the same reaction."

The megastar expressed his gratitude to Abhishek in a tweet on Thursday, saying that his son has proven to be a suitable 'uttaradhikaari.'

Amitabh Bachchan referenced his father, writer-poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, in a tweet on the trailer for Dasvi, writing, "Mere bete, bete hone se tum mere uttradhikari nahi hoge. Jo mere uttradhikari honge, wo mere bete honge. Abhishek, tum mere uttradhikari hoge, bus keh diya to keh diya."

In another tweet, Big B wrote, "You are my pride... Bhaiyu! All my love and all my blessings. How differently you have portrayed characters, in film after film, with such elan!"

Dasvi portrays the narrative of Ganga Ram Chaudhary, an "anpadh, corrupt, and dil se desi" politician who discovers a "nayi chunauti" in prison: education, directed by Tushar Jalota.

The film is premiering on Netflix and JioCinema on April 7, 2022.
