Anusha Viswanathan and Rahul dev Bose gear up with their upcoming romantic comedy, Mission Dugga Dugga. Directed by actor-filmmaker-writer Aditya Sengupta, the film marks the debut of Raja Chanda as a producer. The film also features veteran actress and Aditya’s mother Kheyali Dastidar. The film will be dropped by Zee Bangla Cinema on October 30, at 8 pm.

Anusha is evidently very excited about the film. “Mission Dugga Dugga has become a very special film for me. The basic story is about two childhood best friends who lose touch. And after 10 years they face one another. They are grown up now and changed as people. Whether that attraction, friendship, closeness, emotion are still there or not is something that we explore in the film,” she said.

Rahul plays the character of Rudra, while Anusha’s character is Durga. Rudra works in London. His grandmother (Thammi), played by Kheyali, brings him home to celebrate Puja and she wants him to marry Durga, who has a soft spot for him.

Talking about her work with the team, Anusha said that it was a ‘great experience’ for her. “Rahul and I worked on a play, Pratyasha, directed by Kheyali Dastidar. We have been very good friends for a long time. In the play, we played brother and sister. Now we are romantically involved on screen. The film has a lot of fun elements. There are games, banter, and all the Puja vibes. In fact, now Aditya also became a friend. is the most encouraging and motivating director. This is Raja Chanda’s first production. And his team is also very supportive. Raja and his wife Paean Sarkar used to be on the set every day. We had good fun on the set,” she said.
