X=Prem marks Aparajita’s first film with Srijit. Talking about her experience, the actress says that Srijit is poised and focused on sets. “He is a sensible director – very cool and poised. He makes sure that you bring out your best. While he can be very friendly with you otherwise, on the sets, he is very focused. I would love to work more with him."

Talking about her experience in the Bengali film industry, she says, “Anjan Dutt is one more director I would love to work with repeatedly. Working in his films is like experiencing acting workshops.”

Aparajita also opened about her recent tryst with the Hindi language industry. After her first work in Sony LIV series JL 50, the actress plays a psychiatrist in Kangana-Arjun Rampal’s Dhaakad.

"Bollywood is vast. And since it operates on a large scale, it takes individual care of the actors and the characters. Several rounds of rehearsal are a must before each shot. That helps everybody –  rank newcomers and seasoned actors. Also, every actor needs to go through an audition procedure before bagging the role. One cannot get the job just because they know someone from the team. That makes the team more competitive," she says.

Aparajita did not share screen space with Kangana as she played the character of Kangana’s childhood psychiatrist. However, in JL 50, Aparajita worked opposite Abhay Deol. “The best part of Abhay is that he insists on rehearsing before going for a shot. That is my comfort zone too. He is very chilled out, super good looking and very professional. I loved working with him,” she says.
