Bhanu Uday is excited about his upcoming release Crash Course, which will be dropped on Amazon Prime on August 5. The series that also stars Annu Kapoor, Udit Arora, Pranay Pachauri and Bidita Bag delves into the lives of students, teachers and regular residents of Kota, Rajasthan – a place known for its coaching centres for competitive exams. In an exclusive chat with OTTplay, the actor talked about his expectations from the series.

Talking about his nervousness before the release, Bhanu said that he usually gets tense when he is sure that the content is good. “My anxiety depends on the content I have worked on more than the medium (OTT or theatrical release) I have worked in. If I think I have done something good and I am excited about the work I have done, I will want people to watch it. And then I am very nervous. If I know the work is not good, then I am not nervous. Then I am like, kya ho jayega? I would already have given it up in my head. I was very nervous when Bob Biswas was released. I am very nervous that Crash Course is releasing,” said the Ludo actor.

Elaborating on the series, Bhanu said, “In Crash Course, some great work has happened. I really want my audience to watch. I also believe that this kind of content has found its time now. It is a wonderful time that such platforms bring a huge set audience. I am very nervous and excited that the show is all geared up to be released.”

Bhanu also emphasised that Crash Course is all about human emotions. “Crash Course is a great work of art. The premise of the show is an entry into human emotions. The human conditions are depicted in the backdrop of Kota and the education system. What is friendship? What is love? What does education really mean? Where does the love for learning come from and where does it go? All these things are presented to the audience in entertaining packaging. It is not preachy. Once the show is over, there will be things to discuss. The series essentially talks about human emotions. It is a wonderfully written, directed and acted show,” said the actor.
