Amazon Prime Video's social media content is as precious as the titles they stream on their platform. Ahead of Diwali 2021, the platform shared a video featuring Four More Shots Please!'s very own Siddhi Patel aka Maanvi Gagroo. In the video, she is requesting people to continue binge-watching content on Amazon Prime Video after celebrating Diwali with near and dear ones.

In no time, the video hit the jackpot, and people couldn't stop praising both the OTT platform and Maanvi for this clever concept for a Diwali ad. To talk about the same, we caught up with the actor for a tête-à-tête wherein she spoke at length about the ad, her earliest and fondest Diwali memories and more.

About the Amazon Prime Video ad, Maanvi exclusively told OTTPlay, "I was excited to be a part of Prime Video’s 'Apno Wali Diwali' campaign. Most of us have spent the last year and a half at home and video streaming services like Prime Video have come to our rescue, offering us entertainment from the safety and convenience of our homes, at a time when we couldn’t even meet our families and friends."

The TVF Tripling actor further said, "As someone who believes in the power of friendships and family, I found the campaign’s core message rather novel. A popular streaming service telling its customers to not watch their content for a day and instead spend that day with their loved ones is unheard of. It is a beautiful and emotional way of telling us to reconnect with our loved ones during this festive season. I'm sure that the campaign will strike a chord with everyone just like it did with me."

Over the past one and a half years, we have become accustomed to staying indoors due to the pandemic. When quizzed about how far she thinks it has affected people's way of celebrating festivals, Maanvi shared, "The global pandemic certainly disrupted the way we celebrated all the festivals last year. Besides the fact that we couldn’t be with our families and friends, there was a sense of fear. But due to the vaccine rollout, there is a sense of hope, and we are looking forward to celebrating Diwali with our loved ones, observing all health and safety protocols of course."

The actor further praised the OTT platform by saying, "That’s exactly why Prime Video’s campaign has been extra special, since they are encouraging people to spend more time with their loved ones. Their amazing stories and characters will be there for their fans every day, but Diwali won’t come back for another year!"

On further asked about her earliest and the fondest Diwali memories, Maanvi narrated, "Because all my Diwalis are in Delhi, so my fondest memories of Diwali are also related to the city. The entire lead up to Diwali from Dussehra would be very exciting, because we would have all these Diwali parties and get-togethers. We would have relatives and friends come over every day, and for every meal, there was someone new coming over to meet us. We would have 'taash’ parties and other people’s parties as well. "

The actor added, "All the memories from melas such as GK2 mela, Sundernagar mela, giving and receiving lots of gifts and going shopping, among others, are some of my fondest memories. It would be very fascinating to wonder what kind of car full of gifts would be comprised of. That time of Diwali in Delhi would always be the liveliest, barring the air pollution."

Giving her special Diwali message to OTTPlay readers, Maanvi shared, "I would just like to say that Prime Video isn’t going anywhere. So don't watch your favourite shows and films for a day and just spend time with your family and friends. Thank them for being there for you and with you. All your favourite stories and characters from Prime Video will be waiting for you patiently after Diwali!"
